About Nirvana Maintenance
Nirvana Maintenance provide an all-in-one property maintenance solution to property managers who manage multiple sites. Their skilled team are out in the field dealing with over 1,000 jobs every month, from fire alarm testing and roof repairs to scaffolding.
Nirvana use BigChange to manage operations and on-site reporting.
The challenge
However, they couldn’t easily see profitability by job group, client, service type or contract as they couldn’t combine information on jobs without spending hours building and updating spreadsheets. They also couldn’t see how their individual engineers were performing.
By not having information quickly enough, they were unable to see if revenue had been missed, or to manage cost if things didn’t go to plan. They also couldn’t see how different areas of the business were performing.
We worked with their Group COO, Daniel Dwyer, to build powerful, visual dashboards using job and cost data. This allowed him to quickly see what was going well, and what needed to improve.
We worked with Daniel to:
- Understand the KPIs he wanted to measure, how he wanted to see them, and when.
- Understand where the key data was and then pull all the data together into the right format, including using an API to pull data from BigChange.
- Create a simple process to add cost information not held in BigChange
We built interactive, visual dashboards showing:
- Profitability by job and job group, with the ability to drill through and see detail on people and materials.
- Job profitability by client, contract, service type and division enabling Daniel to create and manage multiple revenue and cost centres.
- Engineer performance, showing a summary of hours and income by engineer.
We created email notifications
We set up an email alert, sending Daniel an email as soon as any job margin went below a target percentage, allowing him to act quickly to mitigate any issues.
